Miss Soweto 2024: A Legacy of Empowerment
On 30 November 2024, Matriarch proudly hosted the 8th edition of the Miss Soweto campaign, celebrating the empowerment and achievements of young women. This year’s event was a resounding success, filled with inspiring stories, vibrant performances, and unforgettable moments.
We are thrilled to introduce our newly crowned Miss Soweto 2024 (Name TBC), who embodies the values of courage, resilience, and grace that the pageant celebrates. The event continues to be a platform for empowering young women and fostering community pride.
Winning at the Assegai Awards
We’re delighted to share that Matriarch took home a Leader Award at the prestigious 2024 Assegai Awards for our work on the White Star Miss Soweto 2023 campaign.
The Assegai Awards, hosted by the Direct Marketing Association of South Africa (DMASA), is one of the country’s premier awards shows celebrating excellence in integrated marketing and communication. This recognition marks our second major award this month, further solidifying the impact of the campaigns we deliver.

Matriarch & Standard Bank: A Dynamic Partnership for 2024 and Beyond
After a highly competitive pitch process, we’re thrilled to share that Matriarch has been selected to lead not one but two major campaigns for Standard Bank! We’ll be spearheading the Standard Bank Summer Campaign for 2024, as well as the Standard Bank Youth Campaign for 2025.
The Summer Campaign will focus on creating vibrant, engaging experiences that celebrate the spirit of summer while showcasing Standard Bank’s offerings in fresh, exciting ways. For the Youth Campaign, our mission is to empower South Africa’s young people through meaningful financial education, fostering independence and long-term growth.
Both campaigns will feature a range of innovative activations designed to connect with their respective audiences at pivotal moments. With our expertise in experiential marketing, we’ll ensure that each activation delivers impactful, memorable experiences that resonate deeply with their target markets.
