Amandla’s expertise and guidance ensure project success, and her passion for building strong client relationships through constant communication and advice is unparalleled.

A few interesting facts about Amandla:
👟Amandla considers herself a true sneakerhead. She particularly loves the iconic Converse All Stars and has a large “collection”.
🪴Amandla’s creative talents extend beyond her love for sneakers. She trained in pottery during high school, and has continued to pursue this passion as a hobby throughout her professional life.
🤰🏾Amandla had a unique pregnancy experience, only finding out she was pregnant at 7 months. Despite this surprise, she handled the situation with grace and had her baby just one month later.
We asked Amandla to share some insights on work, life and decompressing:
Q: What has been your most memorable event at Matriarch so far?
A: One of my most memorable events was the Bokomo Breakfast Drive. It was an initiative of giving back, which is where my true passion lies, especially making an impact on less privileged people in this country. We had a breakfast trailer and promoters who cooked breakfast for people at taxi ranks, bus stations, and train stations. They had free containers they could take home to enjoy Bokomo oats. Many people go to work or school on an empty stomach, and we received a lot of gratitude from those who were served breakfast. It was amazing to see how something small can be so impactful and make a big difference in someone’s day. This event had a big impact on me.
Q: What do you love most about the experiential marketing industry?
A: I love the fact that we connect brands with consumers. We are the middleman in bridging that gap. Experiential marketing can completely switch people’s perceptions of a brand, and seeing that switch is remarkable.
Q: What is your best-kept secret in Cape Town?
A: Well, if I told you, it wouldn’t be a secret, now would it? (laughs)
Q: What would be a dream brand to work with?
A: Converse, Adidas, and Coca-Cola.
Q: If you had to eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
A: Amaqonya from KwaLanga.
Q: Where is your favorite place to decompress from work?
A: I love going for walks with my daughter. It enables me to switch off, relax, and focus on the present moment, as opposed to being stuck at the office.
